day in the life
Text post

5:00am The final alarm goes off and it’s time for her to start the typical work week. It’s taken her a while to acclimate to a day shift schedule after coming home from the hospital so she has several alarms set fifteen minutes apart starting at 4:30. She’ll begin with a quick thirty minute exercise and typically that is a yoga session but she may choose to take a jog around her quaint neighborhood.
6:00-7:30am A light breakfast and coffee, sitting at her table and keeping track of her daily routine so far through her bullet journaling. Helps remind her of anything she may have forgotten about such as medications, workshops, events, or therapy sessions before getting ready for work - sometimes making her late by several minutes as she strives for perfection and wouldn’t dream of leaving her house without looking picture perfect.
8:00am-12:00pm Dollie arrives at work and gets settled into her desk. Between taking admissions to the gallery and calls from artists looking to display their work - she finds coy ways to catch her boss’ eye before eventually going to lunch. Sometimes ordering out or skipping out to local restaurants real quick with Rhett close behind.
1:00pm-5:00pm Most days at the gallery are quiet, it’s a more welcoming change than she’d thought it’d be from her previous work in ‘hospitality’. Even if she couldn’t recall a single detail of this job before her month-long stay at the hospital and needed to be completely re-trained. Little did she know, Rhett lied in order to keep her close by.
6:00pm-8:00pm These are the most convenient hours for her to attend workshops or go to her sessions with Maggie or Thatcher. They consume most of her evenings; Monday thru Sunday. Sometimes holding her over if deemed necessary for her progress. Typically, Dollie can be found in the Center’s own bar before and after. Coping.
~8:00-10:00pm Her schedule flows more organically in the later hours. While Thursday’s are usually held for community events, it leaves the remainder of the week open for drinking, dressed up night outs, or escapes into illegal substances - irresponsibly mixing these with her nightly medications.
